Doug Hunt

Doug Hunt has been immersed in land development from an early age, inspired by his father, a land planner for Greenville County and Piedmont Engineering, who designed many communities in their hometown.

Doug's journey began humbly, working summers stacking hay bales for a grading contractor who soon recognized his knack for operating equipment. This led to a transition to the construction crew as an equipment operator, where his passion for development took root.

Doug's career evolved from grading projects to buying and selling land, ultimately building a legacy in land development.

Through the challenges of the mid-1980s economic downturn, he gained invaluable lessons in risk management and contract negotiation with landowners, contractors, banks, and buyers. Doug often reflects on a quote from Donald Trump: "The most valuable lessons in the development business are learned during the hard times."

In addition to development, Doug enjoys owning and managing diverse rental properties, including single-family homes, duplexes, mobile home parks, and industrial sites.

With decades of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the development industry, Doug Hunt continues to bring visionary projects to life—entitling land and preparing shovel-ready lots throughout the Upstate of South Carolina.
